Review : Sephora Pomegranate Moisturizing Gelëe

Hello folks...

Happy May...

Today, Im bringing you another review on the Sephora brand : Pomegranate Moisturizing Gelëe...

I was walking around sephora one day, well just browsing new at sephora products.. and i stumbled accross this colorful sephora line.. there are coconut, pomegranate, green tea and some other variants.

There are a few product to this range such as cream cleanser, makeup vibes, face mist and the one that we are gonna review today, jelly face moisturizer.

okay, on to the product description:
1) each tub comes in 55g worth of product
2) it retails for Rm 44
3) It come in twist-open container and is well protected with aluminium foil when you first open it.
4) The product is in jelly form, hence the name
5) The texture is almost like a pudding, it spread out nicely and evenly on skin

I bought mine at Sephora for RM 44. You may find it both online and in-store

The product itself is peachy in color and smells heavenly of creamy peach/fruity... I seriously will buy this scent if it comes in perfume form..

see that beautiful color
On Sephora website, they claims that:

A moisturising face gel that nourishes and quenches skin’s thirst.Give your skin its daily dose of hydration with a refreshing jelly facial moisturiser. Packed with vitamins and superfoods, each one delivers specific benefits to target a range of skincare concerns. The lightweight texture soaks into skin to provide the sensation of instant freshness and long-lasting comfort.

At first, I thought that this will be just a whatever kind of moisturizer as I dont really have high hopes for this.. i really just bought it for the scent and if it is not working on my face, I can always put this on my body..

But boy, am I wrong... it was better than the moisturizers that I currently own as it sinks into your skin right away, without the feeling of film on top of your skin.

Im not sure why, but my skin only accept gel/jelly moisturizer. Cream moisturizer will leave my skin suffocated and at the end of the day, there will be bumps as if my skin was clogged.

I really like this texture as it is thicker than traditional gel moisturizer, but still absorbed quicklyinto the skin. I use this as my final moisturizer in my skincare steps, morning and night, but mostly at night. It just seals everything in and leave your skin soft the next morning.
I usually put it in smaller container like this as I'm afraid that I am contaminating the whole product

this is how it looks like on skin, excuse my henna
p/s : I am unable to find the ingredient list tho ...

okay... the summary are :

Pros :)
* nice texture
*smooth and spread evenly on skin
* the result is good, more than i was expecting. It moisturizes enough and leave your skin balanced throughout the day.
* the product is quite a lot and it will last you for the whole month as you dont really need a lot of product.
* it is cooling and refreshing
* the scent is heavenly
*layers well under makeup

Cons :(
- the smell if you are sensitive to the smell
- the packaging. personally I prefer a squeezy tube or a pump container.

all in all, I do recommend this as a basic moisturizer, as it does its job. I will repurchase once I ran out of it.

Thats all folks,
See you later alligator...

XOXO

Review: Eborian Doudoune for lips

Hey... it has been a while..

I have tried a lot of products since I've gone MIA, so get ready for rapid review...

Okay, for today I have a Lipbalm/Lip therapy product to share with you guys..

Basically its a fancy lipbalm but more to treatment.. Before we get into the details, let us talk a bit about the company. Eborian is a French-Korean brand that is sold in Sephora. They are known for the skincare products.
The ingredients

okay, on to the product. Not gonna lie I googled the meaning of 'Doudoune' but the translation is jacket? yeah, Im confused too.....!

The product comes in pot(little glass jar) packaging with 7ml of product, in which is more than your average chap-stick, (Burt's Bee lipbalm is 4.25g).

The reason why I bought this is because I've been having bad allergy reaction on my lips where my lips will get dried up and peeled like crazy multiple times a day. The dry skin comes off like I'm shading. The condition worsen where it got to the point that my lips is basically burning, tingling and swollen, and the peeled off skin is basically brown in color, like when you burn yourself kinda scar. The name of this condition is exfoliative cheilitis which can be triggered by allergies or yeast overgrowth. As for my case is spicy food. I know, random right....

I bought mine at Sephora online for RM 40 or RM 50, could not remember exactly. I think I bought it for RM40 tho...
This is how the product looks like..
the description..

Okay, on to the review.

Advantage/ good points:
1) its so thin in texture, feels like you are putting nothing on
2) it heals your lips, not only protect them - as for my case, it calmed down the burning and itchiness, and even now that my lips is not fully restored to previous condition, but I'm able to reduce the condition like a lot.
3) its a moisture bomb, it will leave your lips hydrated but not super plump, your lips will be velvety soft
4) it is not oily..
5) classy packaging (p/s: it makes you feel like fancy women)

Disadvantage / mehhh:
1) the smell- it smells herbaly, like the weird herbal-floral mix
2) the packaging format - you need to dip your finger inside the pot
3) if you lick it, it tasted like when the perfume gets in your mouth , lol

All in all, I would repurchased this again... and I love this so much despite the weird scent and taste.. lol..

Highly recommend if you have sensitive lips.. if you willing to splurge, but it will help you in long run...

That's all for now,

XOXO
