Review: Garden of Eden - Natur E Scar Serum

Hey... it has been a hot minutes since i update anything here...

Well, here's one.....Today I'll be reviewing on the Scar Serum by Garden of Eden....

So why do i need scar serum? well, glad you asked....

some bug decided to sting me and burn the heck out of my face and part of my eyelids .. those leaves nasty scars.. its painful and so hard to get rid off.....

the scar left after the burn heals

its so obvious right? so i went into research mode, and i found this scar serum..

its pretty expensive.. not gonna lie, it was RM 40 for 5ml of product when I bought it... you can find it here Guardian Online ....

so what it does it it speed up your skin recovery process by providing antioxidant n vit E.

the texture is, oily but sticky at the same time, its like a thick oil, that is sticky.. weird right?

it does not smell great.. kinda smells like oil.. lol

okay so onto the review:

what I love about it:
1) it does speed up recovery and fade quite a lot of the scaring

what i dont like about it..
1) the texture.... it is sticky on your face and thickkkkk
2) the smell
3) it breaks me out when I use it often... basically i can only use 1 drop for my whole face, not just on the scar area.. and mixing it with mosturizer doesnt help at all
4) the price.. so expensive for 5 ml of product....

will i buy it again??
Nahhhhhh
I prefer my cosrx snail munchin .. that helps a lot, without the smell and breaking me out

I do not recommend this to sensitive skin gals or dry skin galsss... but give it a try if u want to... for me this is more like a spot treatment not a serum..

that's all for now.. see you later

A Review: DOMESKY CHOK-CHOK CUSHION LIPSTICK

hey all... well today im gonna review a very very very affordable lipstick from a store named DOMESKY....
basically Domesky is distance cousin of Daiso ... lol

unlike daiso, domesky is korean-based store that sell korean products ( makeup, skincare, mugs and other stuff) with cheap prices..

well, you probably have heard Yubiso, Miniso and all, right? well, let me break down to you, based on my knowledge and experience, yubiso is like a variety kinda store, and they sell clothes too and the lowest price is around RM4-RM6, while miniso is more or less like the same but the stuff are mostly more pricey, the lowest price is RM10..both are selling mostly japanease based products.
and then there's Kaison, which a affordable store more targeted towards home decorating and lifestyle stuff.... not to forget there's KOMONOYA, basically just another daiso type of thing and is Japanease products

so, just go and check them out.....lol...

okay enough of that, lets get into the lipstick....!!

i bought this like in the price of 3 for RM 1O...crazy!! and the quality is not bad...
one side is the product and the other side is the cushion tip, to bled out the product.. and yes its called orange red, you got quite a lot of product also

its dual ended, i basically read the korean writing to get the lipstick name, its chok-chok cushion lipstick

and it came in a box, fancy for the price.. lol

it comes in 3 color i believe, pink, orange and red.. i got the orange one but the true color is more like orange tomato red... here's the swatches
on the left is the swatch and on the right is the color after blended out with the cushion tip
the texture of this lipstick is so cool, it feels powdery on the lips and truly comfortable to wear, it is of course matte finish but i would categorize it as powdery-matte finish... it has this powdery-flowery scent to it but it will fade away eventually...

this kinda color and product is so stunning when you wear it gradient or ombre and it'll give a punch of color if you wear it full on.... the closest product that is in the drugstore with the same texture and idea is the Maybeline color blur lip gradation stick (the pic is below)

i really like this, for the price its a steal.... but there's a few con

# the color does not last that long on your lip, its not a liquid lippie to be fair
# it is drying on the lip, at least for me
# perfect smooth lips before application is a must, it has no mercy on chapped lips..
# limited color selection

overall, i would recommend this DOMESKY CHOK-CHOK CUSHION LIPSTICK for you to try, its da bomb for the price and its pretty much the same as its maybeline brand sister.....

thats all folks

XOXO

COSRX Advance Snail 96 Muncin Power Essence - A review

hey all, now im back with the review with a hyped out product from one of the highly hyped brand from korea.... k-beauty is da bomb... (lol)

so, COSRX Advance Snail 96 Muncin Power Essence is a essence type of product ( how can i describe is just as a hybrid between serum and moisturizer kinda thing, it works better than lotion tho).

so in short, this essence contains 96% of natural snail mucus secretion and based on the website, it claimed to  :

Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence to maintain your youth!
Thirsty skin syndrome ? Sick of heavy oils and sticky creams that leave a heavy, greasy layer on your skin and dry it out more ? Well, experience a whole new revolution of power with the Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence ! Made with all-natural snail mucin, it hydrates the skin on a cellular level and promotes healthier skin without the heaviness and irritants. Replenish nutrients and elasticity to your skin and recover the real power to your skin with COSRX!*
the essence retails about RM 65-68 on hermo.my ( based on the promotion and stuff) for 100ml of product... and this is how it looks like
it came in plastic bottle with efficient pump..
the instructions and stuff,

as for the texture and the product itself, the product is clear, transparent and its a thick kinda liquid, not as watery. It feels slippery and sticky when you first apply it on your skin but as you pad it in, the slippery and stickiness go away...  one pump is enough ( i use a pump and half at night) and it will leave kinda a thin film feeling on your skin... i got this since december last year and still have some to go, its a good bank for the bucks...
its not runny as you can see

the stickiness is real, like slimeeee...
in term of smell, it do have some smell, not the bad one but the smell is not artificial or lingers around at all...so.. onto the review:

a) me likey

**its a great moisturizer, both night and day.. as for the daylight use, you need to give it a little time for the goodness to soak into your skin before applying your makeup.. it does keep your face moisturized and also reduces wrinkles (fine wrinkle around smile line and eyes) in long term. as for scar fading, it does fade scarring by repairing the scar, slowly but surely did... what i like the most is the ability to calm down my skin !! when my skin is irritated and all rashy (usually due to sunblock) it really help to calm down, repair and get rid of my rashes in few days... it also help to balance up my skin, reduce the t-zone oiliness, evening it up (within 1st week of usage) and give me the glow....**

b) down side?

** as for the down side, i'll say the biggest down side that i can find is that its a bit too sticky for day use, if you dont give it some time to soak it before putting on your makeup...it dont give you the immediate result when you use it, so dont buy it if u are expecting that tho...**

all in all, would i repurchase this? HELL YESSS!!!!
why?

i cannot live without this, its that kinda product that you dont really see huge different when you are using it but when you stop using it for few days, you'll see the huge role it has in your skincare routine....

thats all for now, see u soon

A Review - Skinfood Black Sugar and Honey Mask (Wash-off)

hey all, how are you guys? Im a bit all over the place now as I just started working, a.k.a entering the adulthood phase..

well, for today, Im gonna be reviewing a mask, well a wash off pack from a korean brand called  Skinfood..

In short, they are famous for their black sugar mask, but today my review is on the cousin of the original black sugar mask, the black sugar and honey mask which is targeted to sensitive skin type as it is less harsh..
and yes, the details are in Korean

this is how the mask looks like

as for the claims, mine is in korean writing, so here's what it said on the website:
Image result for skinfood black sugar honey mask

"A moist black sugar honey mask containing Brazilian black sugar that is rich in minerals, and sweet honey that is good for hydration to make skin smooth and radiant. *How to Use: After cleansing, massage after skin is moistened with water, or mix with water or cosmetic water to massage face, avoiding skin around the eyes and lips. After about 10-15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water."

the tub comes with 100g of product and cost about Rm 28.50 if you buy it from Hermo right now, at this point of the post written.. :p and it will cost more in store somehow...

Okay!!! on to the review,

the product itself is smoother than the original black sugar mask and more liquidy, make sense right as there's honey in it... it also smells sweeter...

as for me, i repeat as for MY SKIN and my LIKING:

* it is not as effective as the original mask as the sugar particle is just in small amount
* it does exfoliate lightly, and moisturizes better...
* i can see instant brightening effect after i washed it off....

BUT !! my skin reacted badly to it for some reason.. after washing it off, all is amazing but the next day, i'll woke up with this, every single time im using it..
small bumps with white liquid in it appear everywhere T_T
and yes, that bump will last for at least 3 days, i dont know why, i dont have the problem when using the original mask but this version of black sugar mask breaks me out, it is meant for sensitive skin but, it breaks me out and I have sensitive skin...

i really want to like this, but what can i do... my skin chooses it's own friends...

so will i repurchase this? nope, I will repurchase the original black sugar mask over and over again, I'll say skip this one, stick to the original one...

that's all for now,

xoxo

A Review- LACTACYD liquid skin cleansing and protection

hey all....

today im gonna do a review on a skin cleanser, which is formulated for sensitive skin and the ingredients are based on milk protein derivatives.....

the skin cleanser is called LACTACYD liquid cleansing and protect... unlike cetaphil, this product is not readily available in watson or guardian... I purchased this at my local pharmacy for RM 25 per 250ml... here is what it looks like:

the major ingredient is Lactoserum and Lactic acid
this product is supposed to cleanse your skin and increase skin renewal (make sense as lactic acid is one of the AHA ) without striping your skin protective layer...

this product do not smell nice, it kinda smells like the leftover milk in a way for me at least... it does not produce any foam and the liquid itself is semi-transparent and milky in color.

i originally switch to this cleanser as my skin was becoming super sensitive and such a baby, lol... i dont really get acne but due to the stress and also the chemical that im exposed during my final year project, acne decided to come and say hi... not only that, my whole skin type changes....

on to the review... the first week of using this is like heaven, my skin really smoothed but slightly dry.... after that first 2 weeks, i realized that my skin became so reactive to almost anything, even simple baby powder can cause rashes... and about 3 weeks after using it... this is how my skin looked...
this was once a smooth canvas T_T
and i immediately stopped using this.....in a way this provoked my skin and i begin to breakout like crazy... small pimple and irritated bumps keeps appearing...

and now, after 3 months, my skin basically calmed but the scars and the dark spots from this wonderful breakout has yet to fade...

do I recommend this?

yes to those who do not has sensitive skin, and use it maybe once or twice a week only...

will i repurchase this??
nope... Im gonna stick to my trusty old the face shop cleanser.....

that's all for now

XOXO

A REVIEW ON : Good Virtues Co. - Glowing and Goodness Brightening Facial Toner

hey guys,

Long time no see.. Im a bit busy on driving class this few months and let me tell you, the driving part was easy but the environment was super hot....

okay for today, I would like to review a toner that I bought to try out from Good Virtue Co. called glowing and goodness brightening facial toner... It's a mouth full I know...

This toner contains organic black seed oil ( a.k.a habbatus sauda / the seed of blessing) in fact the whole skincare range is based on this black seed as the main quality or selling criteria..
it claimed to be alcohol-free, with the blend of organic black seed oil and hyaluronic acid which helps to brighten the skin and give you the glow...
according to the Good Virtues Co website :

We believe in goodness. Our Brightening Facial Toner nourishes and refreshes your skin, boosting hydration with one simple spritz. An alcohol-free blend of purifying Organic Habbatus Sauda Oil (Organic Black Seed Oil), Hyaluronic Acid and toning essences improves your skin’s natural elasticity and refines pores. Natural Himalayan extracts also help lighten and illuminate skin for a more even appearance. When you glow, goodness flows!
All our products are infused with the purifying goodness of Organic Habbatus Sauda Oil (Organic Black Seed Oil) which is recognised for its rich, natural nutrients, minerals and antioxidants that repair, restore and rejuvenate. They are also free from Mineral Oil, SLES, ALES, Parabens, synthetic colourants, and are not tested on animals. We only use 100% non-animal derived ingredients in our products.
ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Fomes Officinalis (Mushroom) Extract, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Lactate, Propanediol, Boerhavia Diffusa Root Extract, Tetrasodium EDTA, Organic Black Seed Oil (Nigella Sativa Seed Oil), Fragrance, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool
and this is how the toner looks like:
the front view
all of the descriptions and so on,,,

It comes in 100 ml bottle (3.4 fl OZ) with the prize tag of RM 12.90 from the website and I bought it from Watson from RM 10.90

on to the review... the thing that I LOVE FIRST:

#  it comes in spray bottle, make things whole lots easier
#  the smell is divine- smells like number of herbal with light hints of floral freshness...
#  the texture is watery, and it absorbs well
#  I love to use this to set my makeup, it helps the powder to not look cakey
#  the packaging is so cute
#  i agree on the glow it gives

on the dark side:

X  I have slight tingly sensation and some kind of warm feeling on my skin upon spraying this toner,
X  Its hot hydrating, and if my skin already dehydrated, this toner makes me feel so tight and dryer

I actually add water to this toner to dilute it a little bit, after dilution, the warm, tingly feeling is no more felt... maybe the concentration reacts on my super sensitive and complicated skin...

As for recommendation, I would recommend this toner to those with oilier or even normal skin.. not so suitable for sensitive skin.. would i repurchase this? Might be but as makeup setting spray not toner...

That's all for now

XOXO

TONY MOLY Pro Clean Smoky Cleansing Cream- A Review

hey hey, guess who back with another review?

me <3

okay, today I would like to review a product that is quite new to me, cleansing cream...
Well actually, I am interested in buying the Banilla Co cleansing balm but then I found this cleansing cream which is more economical....

okay so moving onto the product
this is how the tub looks like
I bought is off HERMO for around Rm 45 to Rm 47, I cannot remember, lol..... this tub of product is huge, bigger than i thought.. lol, each tub comes with 180ml of product... way more than the Banilla Co one for the price tag

From the Tony Moly website, the description for this product are:
  • Rich coconut oil cream that removes makeup, impurities and dead skin perfectly.
  • Rose musk scented cleansing cream that leaves skin moisturized even after cleansing.
And this is how the product looks like:

it is in the thick yet quite watery when it meet your hand
this product smells divine... soo good..... to put it in a way, this cream smells like a blend of soft floral and warm sugary-coconut smell, well for me at least.. do not worry, the smell is not extra, just nice and warm and soft.. lol

as for the texture, it is like a thick cream but it will melt upon touching your skin... and as you are massaging it in, it will turn to somewhat light oily texture and when you wash it off, your face will be moisturized nicely..

okay as for the effectiveness, i will let the pictures tell you
here I have waterproof eyeliner ( the Hi writing from Essence brand), a liquid lipstick ( LA girl) and a cream shadow ( from Savee)

everything emulsify and melt !!

wallah!, stain free and well moisturized

I love this product, and would not mind to repurchase it sometimes in the future.. I started using this since December and still, not even quarter way through...

I do recommend this for you guys as it does not break my sensitive and dry skin up...
after this cleansing cream , your skin will be smooth and moisturized, believe me..

That's all for now

XOXO

Mamonde Rose Water Soothing Gel - Product Revew

Hey all...

It has been a hot minute since I updated any post, well, I've been busy completing my study and now, proud and finally I'm done with degree school..

okay, back to the review...

Maybe you all are more familiar with aloe gel in tub form by Nature Republic or other brand...

Basically, the Rose Water Soothing Gel has similar vibe to that but its different in a way... And this is how it looks...

According to the website, this product is a multitasking product which basically can be use all over your body.. fancy isn't it?

this product is described as:
90.89% Damask rose water
Damask roses grown in the world-famous rose valley of Bulgaria have been used to formulate toner since the 16th Century with their excellent soothing & hydrating effects and beautiful fragrance.
Low-temp., super-high pressure rose water extraction
Unlike high-temp distillation that uses hot steam, we applied the pressure of 10,000 m under water in a low temperature to minimize deformation of active ingredients by heat.

As for the product itself, it is in gel-like texture but more on the watery side instead of hard jell-o texture..it has pinkish tint to it but like really soft baby pink, fetus pink! lol...

see that fetus pink?

as for the scent, it has that rose smell, but not that granny rosy scent, more to the smell of rose water if you ever smell one and it is quite significant smell but it will go away after the gel absorbed into your skin..

Each tub contains 300ml of product which is a a lot for the price. Talking about the price, this product sells at RM33 in Malaysia (you can find the product in online shop like  hermo  ), $10.98 dollar if you buy it from Amazon and in korea, it is 11000-15000 korean won... I bought mine in Korean, well I actually asking my friend to buy me one ^.^

as for my review:
# Its not as sticky as the Aloe Vera soothing gel and much cooler
# It has better absorption and do not leave a film on your skin after the product absorbed
# Its quite moisturizing and your face does plump afterward
# It does not come off from your skin if you rub it in
# Super cooling for me on malaysia's hot climate..
# It does shrink the appearance of your pore..cool

I usually put a thin layer on my face during a hot night, to cool down my face.. I like it slightly better than the Aloe Vera gel actually.. so thumbs up from me

that's all for this review portion,

XOXO
Dheann <3
